The King George VI 1/- & 5/- notes were printed in anticipation of a shortage of coinage which never materialised, and so the already-printed and delivered notes were destroyed, all except for 11 sets which were cancelled.

(Pick 6s), good extremely fine, just three light vertical folds but otherwise in excellent condition, a remarkably rare type and the first serial number of its type
