(x) PCGS VF35 - XF45 BN | George III (1760-1820), 'Cartwheel' Pennies (4), 1797, Soho, laureate draped and cuirassed bust right, rev. Britannia seated left, edge plain, 28.82g, 6h (BMC [Peck] 1132; S.3777), strong strike with clear, deep details but with some wear on the highest points, surfaces with an even grey-brown patina with light handling marks in the fields and softening around the lower rim edge, very fine, in PCGS holder, graded EXTREMELY FINE 45 BROWN (Cert. #62001810); another, 28.03g, 6h (BMC [Peck] 1132; S.3777), shows minor localized wear to the highest points of the hair and drapery, fingermarked, a nick in the obverse field behind the neck and light edge contact marks typical of these heavy pieces, very fine, in PCGS holder, graded VERY FINE 35 BROWN (Cert. #62001808); another, 28.45g, 6h (BMC [Peck] 1133; S.3777), sharp central details, surfaces show an attractive, multi-toned dark patina with light high-point friction and minor field flecks, rims free of edge knocks, good very fine, in PCGS holder, graded EXTREMELY FINE 45 BROWN (Cert. #62001809); another, 27.78g, 6h (BMC [Peck] 1132; S.3777), bold, incuse lettering, sharp date, and remarkably clean, smooth fields under a highly attractive steel-brown patina, good very fine, in PCGS holder, graded EXTREMELY FINE 45 BROWN (Cert. #62001811) (4)
