(x) Northumbria, Eadberht, Secondary Phase (737-758), AR Sceat, Series Y, Class Fxiii, EOTBERHTVS, square O with central pellet, cross pattée on raised boss within inner beaded circle in centre, rev. fantastic animal with tongue extended, standing right, triquetra below, 1.03g [15.90grns], 12h (EMC 2014.0053 = SCBI 69 [Abramson], 848, same dies; SL 70-185; North 177; BMC ii [Coll. no. 8]; S.847), a hint of porosity otherwise lustrous with light tone, good very fine / very fine, rare with a captivating obverse strike
