Henry V (1413-1422), Groat, Class Cb, Tower (London), with quatrefoil after hENRIC, crowned 'frowning' bust facing, mullet on right shoulder, rev. CIVITAS LONDON, long cross and trio of pellets in angles, 3.63g [56.02grns], 2h, m.m. pierced cross (North 1387(b); S.1765), drilled at 12 o'clock for suspension, and with an historic scuff on mouth, otherwise richly toned and a fuller flan, with underlying hints of colourful tone, almost very fine
