Sold together with the original bestowal document, dated 18 November 2008, signed by Prince Albert II, awarded to Rene de Obaldia.

Rene de Obaldia was born in Hong Kong in 22 October 1918, spent time as a Prisoner of War during the Second World War and became a famous playwright and poet. Elected to the Académie française on 24 June 1999, he died in Paris in January 2022.
