Bank of England, Sarah John, £50, 2020 (23 June 2021), low serial number AA01 000250, A familiar design by now, here is the red £50 polymer with the portrait of the late Queen Elizabeth II at right of obverse, and a photo of Turing and a table and mathematical formulae, the Automatic Computing Engine (ACE) Pilot Machine and technical drawings for the British Bombe on the reverse.

This note was bought at the Charity Auction of Bank of England £50 Notes at Spink in 2021 (Sale 21023, Lot 77). It is now back to market for the first time since its original purchase,
