1860 (3 Feb.) entire unfranked from Liverpool addressed to Cologne, Germany arrived (6.2) undelivered and returned to sender showing sent back to England without a reason for non-delivery, on arrival the entire was turn out, franked with 1d. red and re-shipped to Germany (10.3) and finally delivered (13.3). Part of the internal letter cut out not detracting from the overall appearance. A fascinating piece of postal history.
