                        (x) An assortment of military prize competition medallions including awards for athletics, diving, swimming, and shooting, and an identity bracelet (S. H. Bromley Northants Yeo), about very fine (Lot)
Septimus Harold Bromley was born and raised in Byfield, Northamptonshire. He served with the 1st Battalion, Northamptonshire Yeomanry and disembarked on 6 November 1914 on the Western Front. Bromley supplied his own uniform and horse, 'Badger'. They fought together at the Battle of Mons and the First Battle of Ypres.
Bromley later commissioned as Lieutenant with the 1st Northamptonshire Yeomanry on 16 April 1917. Both he and Badger survived the war, and Bromley was entitled to the 1914 Star and British War and Victory Medals. This bracelet was likely made in the event that if he were killed in action, he could be identified. Bromley himself would have commissioned the bracelet to be made.
