Margaret Evelyn Tearne S.R.N., S.C.M., Q.I.D.N.S., was commissioned Lieutenant into the 7 January 1953 Queen Alexandra's Royal Army Nursing Corps in January 1953, transferred to the reserve in January 1957 and relinquished her commission in January 1961. Tearne was a State Registered Nurse and earned her Serving Sister's Badge in January 1985.
