Abandoned Bomb Register

an officially made register of Unexploded Bombs (U.X.B.) in the Bristol area. Each entry gives a specific reference number and date, followed by Location and type of Ordnance (assumed/guessed) with the following Descriptions given: Nature of Ground, Depth Excavated, Adjoining Property and Installations, Is Vibration Likely to Cause Detonation, Reasons for Proposal to Abandon, and in the early part of the register each entry is signed by a member of the Bomb Disposal Company Royal Engineers, the opposite side of each page entry shows a map with the exact location of where the relevant bomb is situated. Contains 49 entries beginning on 2 December 1940 with the last entry for 25 April 1942. The book with card outer cover bound in leather and fabric, embossed in gold to the front Abandoned Bomb Register, and City Engineer's Copy in top right hand corner, good condition overall with clear detail.
