1/- green, Die I, clear margins all round with large sheet margin at foot, showing variety threads 20mm. apart, large part original gum, clear impression and especially fresh, deep colour. An important rarity, unique in private hands. Magnificent. B.P.A. Certificate (2021). Spec. H1(2)c, unpriced.
Notes: Offered with Charles Nissen's original Memorandum dated 1932 in which he notes "There is only one other copy known, and I am not quite sure whether Captain Grainger has it or whether it is in the Royal collection.
In fact there is an unused pair in the Phillips collection housed by the National Postal Museum (Volume XXX, Page 18).
