Plate 1b: QD-QF, horizontal strip of three (QD Plate 1c, state 3, QE-QF Plate 1b, state 2), tied to entire letter to Gloucestershire, endorsed Above Weight 2d by three fine black Maltese Cross cancellations with another strike below and red double ring "more/to/pay" additionally tying QD, Spilsby c.d.s. of 19 Sept. 1841; clean vertical filing fold well clear of the adhesive. An exceptionally rare combination from the rarest of the "Black" Plates and a new discovery
