GK, tight to very large margins all round, tied by superb Maltese Cross in bright red shade to 1840 (5 Sept.) entire letter from Halberton, near Tiverton to Wellington, the face struck with Tiverton d.s. in matching ink, small split to entire at foot; also matched 1d. red-brown tied by black Maltese Cross to 1841 entire with contents used within Scotland. A fine duo.
