1900 (Mar.- Dec.) a group of H.H. Smith covers with outgoing mail (Mar.) Richey 'Soldiers of the Queen' patriotic cover "from H H Smith Artificer Imperial Light Horse, South Africa" bearing Cape 1d. (half torn off when opened) tied by partial C.G.H. c.d.s.; 1900 (23 May) Nova Scotia Provincial Exhibition envelope (toned and roughly opened at right) bearing G.B. 1d. lilac tied by Army P.O.43 c.d.s. (Kroonstadt) with a light strike of the Canadian Contingent dated oval (30.5) in red; incoming mail from Dartmouth with 1900 (3 May) envelope to 3rd Division 2nd Canadian Contingent bearing Canada Q.V. 2c. carmine (2) tied by barred ovals with directional notation, "not at Braamfontein" and "Strathcona Horse" and 1900 (20 Dec.) a similar envelope addressed "...Attached 6th Northumberland Fusiliers ..." and marked "3rd Battl. M.I. Belfast". All covers are a little soiled. An interesting and scarce group. (4 covers)
