Values of Griqualand and Cape of Good Hope used subsequent to Griqualand becoming a province within Cape Colony
1885 (13 Apr.) Official envelope (faults) from Colonel Methuen attached to the Warren expedition at Setlagoli in Bechuanaland to England, bearing Cape 1d. (6) tied by "barkly/g.w." c.d.s., showing blue crayon "2" changed to "3", "T" h.s. and circular-framed "s1/6d"; and 1885 (Aug.) envelope (peripheral faults) from Colonel Methuen to his wife at Wynberg and redirected to Muizenberg, bearing Cape 2d. tied by "barkly/g.w." c.d.s. and showing Wynberg datestamps alongside with "t.p.o./up" c.d.s. on reverse; also Stellaland 1d. (stained) cancelled by part "barkly/g.w." c.d.s.
