1873 (1 May) envelope (with letter) to Prague, bearing 4d. and 1/- with circle of bars cancels, showing manuscript "1/10", "du toits pan" oval d.s., Cape Town transit c.d.s. (8.5), unframed "insufficiently/prepaid" h.s. partly crossed by blue crayon "1 - 20" and, on reverse, London (12.6) and arrival datestamps. The letter refers to Government licences, Matabele and Bamangwato tribes and Eastern Province Herald.. A rare franking and destination. Photo
