BJ, two examples tied to two separate entire letters, one by red Maltese Cross, the other by black Maltese Cross, the former dated 1840 (8 Oct.) from London to Bath, the latter dated 1841 (31 March) from Otley to Skipton. Both adhesives fine with very large to good margins all round and the crosses finely struck in both instances.
