18th-20th Century archive of correspondence in relation to the Maxwell family mostly from or addressed to Reverend Edward Maxwell or Captain Maxwell including the Passport for "Rev E Maxwell to Palestine" with Turkish revenue stamp, a number of bank drafts from Edward, 1778 letter from Thomas Coutts to Edward, a variety of instructional, town and mileage markings, 1901 letter from Osborne House to "Tweedmouth", book plates with original metal plates depicting members of the family. An interesting collection well worth careful study.
