GG, clear margins all round, affixed to lower left corner, contrary to regulations, and tied by red Maltese Cross to 1840 (12 Aug.) entire letter from Birmingham to "Miss Atherstone" in Regents Park, London; the letter written by Edwin Atherstone, poet, provides an account of his trip to visit his daughter, Mary Elizabeth who would publish a book on her father's works. The reverse with superb "MY HOPE" pink wafer seal, Birmingham and London d.s. Fine.
