1915-16 large hand painted card envelope (c.281x340mm.) from Col. Hugh Rose to "His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales 1st Bn Grenadier Guards BEF"; the images depicts a German soldier in surrender, concealed behind a tree. The envelope with triangular Censor marking and signed by the artist in the upper left. Very fine and rare.
