1740 ship letter wrapper from England to John Reynell in Philadelphia, carried privately "p Capr Farmer", forward from New York with manuscript rate notation in the top right corner, "NY Sh: 3dwt: 16grs"; the receipt docketing on the flap reads, "From Daniel Flexney Rec'd 30th April 1740 Via N. York". Very fresh and an exceptionally early letter to America
