1900 (28 Apr.) envelope to England sent via the northern route, bearing seriffed overprint 1/- on Brfitish Bechuanaland 4d. green and purple-brown, tied by 'mafeking/c.g.h.' c.d.s. and also by a superb strike of the very rare 'crocodile pools/south africa' double-ring d.s. (used at the Base Camp Post Office Gaberone), backstamped at Bulawayo (30 Apr.) and Cambridge (8 June); some soiling and age marks. A very rare Mafeking cover also featuring the rare Crocodile Pools cancellation. S.G. 11
