(x) Bechuanaland
Bechuanaland Protectorate
1920-23 Bradbury Wilkinson
1925 (Aug.) folded long 'o.h.m.s.' (In Zyn Majesteits Dienst) envelope from the 'Department of Posts and Telegraphs' to 'Bridger and Kay' in London, bearing two blocks of four of the 2/6d. and the 5/-, all cancelled by 'lobatsi' c.d.s. Hypothetically, the envelope contained stamps issued by the Mafeking Post Office for Bridger and Kay's business; the absence of transit or arrival marks suggests it may have been personally carried to London after registration and cancellation in Lobatsi; a striking and rare franking.
