1940-42 (c.) registered blue envelope bearing, on the reverse, 2tr. dull scarlet-vermilion with a horizontal pair of 2/3 tr. with the top third of the stamp cut off, tied by superb strikes of Shigatse postmark. This would appear that the sender tried to make the stamps cover the 3tr. rate. An unusual and interesting cover. Photo
