1924 (May) characterful envelope to Thomas Cook & Sons, London bearing 2/3 tr. rose-carmine (shiny print) cancelled by part Lhasa postmark and showing a fine strike of "gyantse-tibet/due/one anna" handstamp type B112; redirected on arrival to Newcastle and with two Officially Sealed labels tied by Newcastle arrival c.d.s. (12.6), the reverse with good strikes of Gyantse/Tibet (13.5) c.d.s. and London transit (11.6) and manuscript "Found in this condition at N". A delightful and unusual cover. Photo
