1911 (17 Nov.) envelope from London registered to the Postmaster, Gyantse bearing, on the reverse, G.B. K.E.VII 3d. tied by Oxford St. c.d.s., London registered oval, several Calcutta and Bombay D.L.O. datestamps, "gyantse tibet/siliguri base" c.d.s. (14.12) and manuscript "Received torn" on one side; the address side with the despatch c.d.s., London registered oval, London blue on white registration label and Gyantse c.d.s. (12.12) and marked in red ink, "Return to sender as P.O. has since been closed". An interesting cover arriving quite early when the Imperial Post Office closed at the end of 1911. Photo
