The Sea Route Via India: 1911 (12 June) On Postal Service envelope to Chengtu "via Shanghai, China" bearing two fine strikes of the Lhasa registration handstamp type CR3 along with Yatung-Tibet dollar dater type C3, "yatung-tibet/via siliguri" registration handstamp, Yunnanfu and Chengtu c.d.s. and bearing, on the reverse, India K.E.VII ½a. vertical strip of nine tied by fine strikes of "yatung tibet/via siliguri" type B2 c.d.s., Base Office c.d.s. (30.6) and a fine strike of Tengyueh bilingual c.d.s. (6.7). A rare and important cover, it is thought that only a handful of covers were sent via the Bhamo-Tengyueh route. Photo
