1910 (17 July) envelope to Captain Weir in Gyantse bearing 2c. deep green tied by a fine strike of Lhasa type C1 postmark with a second strike alongside, with the original letter from the Councillor to the Chinese Imperial Residency. Fine and paying the 2c. letter rate, only a handful of such covers have been recorded. Photo

Note: the postal rates of 2c. for letters and 1c. for postcards was only in operation for 50 days. On 5 August 1910 the new rates were introduced, letters 3c., international mail 10c., postcards remained 1c.
