Everest Expdtn. coloured label tied by the illustrative cachet in purple; also a printer's proof of the red printing in black, signed by Stephen Smith and an unused label. Photo

On 7th April the secretary of the India Air Mail Society saw Blacker and Fellowes, who consented to carry a souvenir mail on a flight over the Himalayas. A fee of one guinea each was charged in aid of charities, 87 covers were carried then posted in Purnea in the normal way. 250 labels were produced
