1906 (9 Aug.) envelope registered to his father in Stockholm bearing, on the reverse, India K.E.VII 6a. (2) tied by "leh/kashmir" c.d.s. with Stockholm arrival (10.9) alongside, the address side with a good strike of the Leh boxed registered handstamp. A good cover written in the hand of this famous explorer. Photo

The Swedish explorer set off for Tibet from Leh, Ladakh (Little Tibet) in 1906. He reached Shigatse in February 1907 but no further. He then returned through Spiti to Simla
