Bailey in Lingmatang bearing India Q.V. ½a. tied by a very good strike of the type B1 "f.p.o. no.32" c.d.s., the reverse with a second, superb strike, Field P.O. No.26 (20.5) and Field P.O. No.83 (20.7, no yeardate) plus a label reading "Cover wrongly dealt with by P.O. Please return to postman for enquiry and notice". With the original letter written from Gyantse; some age marks. Waterfall records this as the first date of this postmark. An important cover using a variety of Field post offices, F.P.O. 83 was based in Lingmatang. Photo
