1850 (May) a mourning letter to the King of Nepal informing him of the death of the Emperor's mother, followed by the death of the Emperor and that the fourth son has been crowned emperor and that a new calendar has been instated. Bears a good strike of the Grand Seal in bluish black with a second strike on the letter. There is also a rough draft of the Nepalese reply. Very scarce in this colour. Photo

The Doaguang Emperor, Mianning, died on 26th February 1850. His mother, Empress Xiaoherui, died on 23rd January 1850
