Regent Mail
1858 scarf letter to the King of Nepal, sealed at the end with the square ink seal (35 x 35mm) with five lines of Horyig script of the third Reting Rinpoche, with his small, personal seal in a floral design on the outside of the wrapper. In this letter he informs the King that he rules on Tibet at the wishes of the Chinese Emperor. A good letter. Photo
The eleventh Dalai Lama died in 1855/56. The Regent again took charge and searched for the incarnation. Again a lottery was drawn and the boy who was already selected was chosen. This letter is probably written after the recognition, informing that the new Dalai Lama is on the throne as per the wishes of the Chinese Emperor
