1904 (Apr.) large wrapper to Kathmandu bearing a perfect wax seal (Dawson 7), with arrival note on the address side that this arrived in Kathmandu on 1961/1/6 (5th April 1904). It was at this time that the Dalai Lama had been convinced to flee to Mongolia to avoid the Younghusband expedition. Rare correspondence during this historically important period. Photo
