CAROLVS • D:G • MAGN • BRITANN • FRANC • ET • HIBERN • REX, King on horseback trotting left, sash flies behind, holding sword, grassy ground line below, rev. QVÆ • DEVS • CONIVNXIT • NEMO • SEPARET •, crowned square-topped and lightly garnished Stuart shield, 29.866g, 6h, m.m. thistle and B (Dr Erik Miller 13; Murray, BNJ {1970}, pp. 133; SCBI XXXV, nos. 1424-26, same dies; Burns 1005 same dies; S.5552), heavy metal flaw by sash, otherwise cabinet toned on a neat round flan, only a subtle hint of the rocker press process evident to the undulation of the flan, struck details almost very fine
