Irish Civil War, James II (1685-1691), 'Gunmoney' Large Shillings (2), August 1689, Dublin, laureate and draped bust left, rev. cursive date, A with top curl, no stop after XII, reads Aug, edge chevron milled, 5.73g, 12h (Withers Aug21/35; S.6581B), bright green verdigris present, but underneath are glossy, dark surfaces, about very fine; and another, August 1689, similar but reads Aug., edge chevron milled, 5.84g, 12h (Withers Aug40/42; S.6581B), a few areas where legend is worn, small flashings of verdigris, but otherwise delicate details present, very fine; and, 'Gunmoney' Large Shillings (14), August 1689, Dublin, laureate and draped bust left, rev. cursive date, edge chevron milled, 12h (S.6581B, 6581B2), some more worn than others, each with brown patina, fine to very fine (16)
