Ireland, Henry VII (1485-1509), "Three Crowns" Coinage, Late Issues, 'No Pale Cross' Halfgroat, c. 1488-1490, Dublin, REX ANGL Z [FRA]NCIE, Royal shield over long cross bottonée, rev. [CIV]-ITA-S BV-BLI, three crowns in pale, no cross, trefoil of annulets where ends of cross should be, 0.83g, 2h, [i.m annulet ?] (cf. DF 192; S.6440 variety), a small striking crack and historic scuffs across lightly crimped and toned surfaces, struck details largely uniform, the variety especially clear, almost very fine and very rare, and the reverse inscription unpublished in the most recent revision of the standard reference work
