Ireland, Henry VII (1485-1509), "Three Crowns" Coinage, Geraldine Issues, Groat, August-September 1487, Dublin, REX AN (lis) LIE ET, Royal shield over long cross voided bottonée, Arms of Fitzgerald in lower quarters, rev. DO [lis] MI [lis] NVS VRER, first R for B, three crowns in tressure of nine arcs in pale over long cross voided bottonée, 1.74g, 6h (S.6432, variety), delightfully full and richly cabinet toned, a pleasing very fine, and presumably rare variety for the inscriptions are unpublished in the most recent edition of the standard reference work
