Ireland, Edward IV (1461-1470 // 1471-1483), "Cross and Pellets" Coinage, Pennies, Drogheda (3), Heavy Types, 1465-7, First Issue (2), EDWARD : DI : GRA : DNS : HYBER, crowned bust facing, no marks by neck, rev. VILLA : DE DROGHE, long cross and trio of pellets, rose to centre, m.m. crown (Burns Dr-3H, portrait style B; S.6316A); also, Second or Third Issue, Penny, c. 1475-1479, similar, but additional pellets by crown and by neck, rev no rose at centre, m.m. pansy or pierced cross saltire (Burns Dr-12; S.6374F), the first and second both cracked and with resultant areas of striking flatness, otherwise toned, the last clipped as usual for issue otherwise unusually uniform for type, very fine, rare thus (3)
