1899-1903 "Aguilitas" Group of 23 color trial color proofs of the complete set from 1c. to 5p. (including the 4c. of 1903), each stamp with the "Specimen" perfin, displaying an extraordinary assembly with sharp colors and magnificent engraving by Bradbury Wilkinson. Like other security printers, the firm prepared small albums with samples of their work; however, these differed from their competitors as the impressions were taken directly from the die, printed on stout paper, and perforated "Specimen" in a straight line at lower right.
