Saltillo Duo of pristine, colorful, rare and attractive covers, both tied to imperforate stamps by oval h.s Franco en la Villa de Matamoros: One has 6c. Green pair and 12c. Blue (#36-72) dated May 6, 1873 and the other a 12c. Blue pair (#36-73) dated August 18, 1873, both going to Parras. Margins all around. Matamoros is a border town with very small population. Scott 93-95.
