1872 "Hidalgos"
Morelia Assembly comprising 50 imperforate stamps, mostly used, on attractive presentation pages (consignment #29), with different consignment years (1872–74) arranged in rows without duplication, including denominations from 6c. to 100c., with seven examples bearing the "Papel Sellado" or "La Croix Frères" watermarks. A complete set from 6c. to 100c. is present, including the consignment error "31" for "29". Many stamps show cancellations from small towns such as Río, Zamora, Puruándiro, Cotija, Parácuaro, Pátzcuaro, Penjamillo, Huacama, Tangacícuaro, and Taretan. The lot also features two attractive unused multiples of the 6c. Green: a block of ten and a strip of five. Condition is generally very fine, with many stamps showing three or four clear margins.
