Mexico District 3c. Brown (#55-1866), fifth period, an unused example with large margins all around and fresh color. Small filled-in thin, nevertheless a great looking stamp. Issued as an experiment for local city mail between 1866 and 1867, only 2,403 of these stamps were printed, including 300 from this consignment. 1999 MEPSI certificate. Scott 18, $1,300.
