1962 5/- Patrol, prepared for use but not issued, a block of twenty from the foot of the sheet with current number '002892' in margin at left, some staining at right and foot mainly in the margins but also affecting four stamps, the rest unmounted mint; a rare multiple
Note: This was the first Australian printed multicoloured stamp prepared for release in 1962 but withdrawn before public issue because of the design showing local native police carrying rifles in the Highlands. It was thought that this may cause a backlash considering past conflicts.
