The Occupation of Guadalcanal
A range of envelopes (12, two unstamped) and a Naval Message including Army mail from a member from the 132nd Infantry (3) at A.P.O. 502 and 709 (2), and 182nd Infantry at A.P.O. 502; scarce "blue envelope" used from APO 709 to USA; envelope from Washington DC to Lt. Cmdr Carson USN (later R/Admiral) at Navy UUB, Button (Espiritu Santo, New Hebrides) and forwarded to APO 709; envelopes (2) from USA to a member of Marine Unit 960 (1st Pioneer Btn.) who was evacuated from Guadalcanal and to a member of of CUB-One in the Tulagi area, both eventually returned to Marine Corps HQ; and from USA to a corporal in the 7t Air Force, initially sent to Hawaii and forwarded to New Hebrides and again to Guadalcanal.
