1859 (1 Dec.) entire addressed to London, charged '6' in manuscript and bearing 1c. dull red, good regular margins, cancelled by Demerara c.d.s. Back flap slightly reduced, showing part double-arc Demerara and London arrival d.s. Entire cleaned and with other minor usual faults, still quite fresh and attractive. One of only four recorded covers bearing this stamp, three of which feature a strip of four, while this is the only known example with a single franking. Robson Lowe opinion (1973).
