Golden Jubilee of Victoria, Official 'Large' AE Medal, by J. E. Boehm for the Royal Mint, 1887, VICTORIA REGINA ET IMPERATRIX, crowned and veiled bust left, rev. IN . COMMEMORATION, enthroned figure of Empire, facing, flanked by standing figures of Science, Letters and Art, opposite those of Industry and Agriculture. At their feet, below Empire, are Mercury, reclining, and Time. Above, two cherubs displaying shields, five linked shields, inscribed ASIA AMERICA EUROPE AUSTRALASIA and AFRICA in exergue, 207.94g, 77mm (Eimer 1733; BHM 3219), with a handsome glossy near-brilliance to fields, toned to chocolate brown surfaces, much as struck, in original case of issue in poor condition
