NGC AU55 | George III (1760-1820), 'New Coinage' Halfcrown, 1816, Type I, laureate head right, rev. crowned arms within Garter, edge milled, 14.11g, 5h (ESC 613; Bull 2086; S.3788), some light contact marks, otherwise pleasingly toned and flashy hues to the reverse, very fine, in NGC holder graded AU55 (Cert. #8536731-003); also, Halfcrown, 1817, Type II, laureate head right, rev. crowned shield in Garter, edge milled, 14.05g, 12h (ESC 618; Bull 2096; S.3789), rub to higher points and contact marked, yet with a flashy lustre to darkly toned surfaces, very fine (2)
