Charles II (1660-1685), Guinea, 1681, fourth laureate head right, rev. no stop after HIB, crowned shields cruciform, emblem-adorned sceptres in angles, six strings to harp, edge obliquely milled, 8.308g, 7h (Ellerby 114; MCE 84; Farey 220; EGC I, 276; S.3344), heavily haymarked across French shield and the flan subtly crimped, the edge milling otherwise pronounce and uniform, with pockmarks in bright and lightly flashed fields, otherwise struck details very fine or marginally bolder in parts, truly rare in this state, as seldom met with in any grade
