(g) NGC MS63 | George III (1760-1820), 'Military' or 'Garter' Half-Guinea, 1813, seventh laureate head right, rev. crowned shield in Garter, edge obliquely milled, 4.18g, 12h (MCE 448; EGC I, 859; S.3737), minor die flaw to reverse, otherwise struck soft as usual for issue, with a flashy lustre and peripheral tone, about extremely fine or better, and truly much as issued, a scarce date in exemplary grades, this a discerner's handsome cabinet piece and complement to the ever-popular 'Military Guinea' in NGC holder, graded MS63 (Cert. #8536729-014)
